Compare a transmitted and a received bit sequence and report the bit error rate, plus the longest burst of consecutive errors.

Constraints

  • Sequences of unequal length must raise ValueError.
  • Return a dict with ber, error_count and longest_burst.
  • An empty pair of sequences returns a BER of 0.0.
  • Must run in a single pass.
  • No numpy required.
